The Role
Role Purpose:
. Holds responsibility for all regional marketing deliverables for Liabilities & FX, with responsibilities spanning 8 countries: UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and Pakistan. The HBME & HBEG region is one of the fastest growing regions in the HSBC world with huge Liability reserves.
. Acts as a one point contact between the RBWM Regional Liabilities & FX team and the relevant Marketing teams
. The role requires a candidate who is a Business-minded and experienced Marketer able to influence Business decisions and lead the regional Marketing Liabilities strategy towards achieving the Business objectives.
. Will interface with the ATL Communication team to develop relevant campaigns as and when required, within the Hub-spoke model
Job Responsibilities
The Regional Manager Marketing for Liabilities & FX will deliver the following :
. Lead all marketing related activities for Liabilities and FX across the HBME & HBEG region
. Development and execution of marketing campaigns (ATL / BTL ) across the region to achieve the identified business objectives:
> Enhancement of the Liabilities balances across the HSBC base
> Maximize FX and remittance revenue numbers across the HSBC base
> Promote HSBC as a leading provider of competitive FX services
> Focus on specific remittance corridors
> Implement Group FX strategy
. Identify and coordinate Research requirements for Liabilities & FX between the business and market research team
. Responsible for developing and leading the Liabilities & FX Marketing Strategy and plan across the HBME and HBEG region, in line with Business objectives
. Responsible for maintaining an ROI-focused approach to Liabilities & FX Marketing across the region
. In specific cases, help countries roll out Liabilities & FX related marketing campaigns, if not part of regional roll-out
Major Challenges
. Ensure the successful implementation of the Hub-Spoke model, with the HBME region being a pilot region for Hub-Spoke within HSBC
. Influence the Business decision-making process through an informed and articulate Marketing strategy, which is lead by a thorough understanding of the customer
. Developing relevant regional Liabilities & FX campaigns to meet the identified business priorities
. Manage delivery of campaigns by oneself across the region
. Manage the effective utilization of marketing budget for Liabilities & FX, that ensures target ROI objectives
. Maintain clear and consistent communication across multiple teams in multiple countries
. Insight and understanding of local market dynamics and pressures
. Providing both direction and execution and ensuring the appropriate balance between the two
. Identifying and connecting activities and resources to create greater value
. Evaluating the relative priority and impact of activities through the understanding of multiple strategies and business objectives
