• To actively promote and sell Arabian Adventures products and services, to the corporate market in the UAE and to tailor-make products to their needs. Generate ideas and support product development based on feedback from corporate clients.
• Increase awareness of Arabian Adventures products and services in the corporate market by targeting decision makers and senior management in major companies. Furthermore, promote Arabian Adventures as a specialist company dealing with tailor-made events, functions and services catering to both corporate clients and the companies requiring incentive packages, launching of products and organising other special leisure events.
• Achieve sales targets by implementing agreed designed strategies and exploiting all business opportunities, thereby increasing the profitable growth of the department. This will be done by a range of sales tools, such as sales presentations, personal sales visits, regular mailing and tele-sales activities, attending media & promotional activities thereby ensuring maximum exposure in the business market.
• Ensure that the clients are delivered what has been promised to them for their corporate event. This is to be done by maintaining up-to date function sheets clearly defining client’s requirements and co-coordinating their requirements with all concerned sections of the Operations department, and finally ensuring successful event management
• Prepare and maintain an updated database of existing and potential clients for Arabian Adventures.
• Prepare new and innovative products, bearing in mind a). Market demand b).Services and products being offered by our competitors c). Recommendations from existing clients, based on their feedback of our present products.
• Source for suppliers who are able to offer new products or services and negotiate rates with them to make our services competitive, yet maintaining company standards. Furthermore to work closely with operations controllers to prepare a corporate planner detailing our various products in an attractive layout and a user friendly price-grid, which can be used to market and promote the corporate products.
• Actively network and source market research to monitor trends and competitors activities and provide appropriate feedback to the management so that sales strategies can be revised to counter competitor activities or exploit opportunities.
• Generate sales statistics of all excursions sold through corporate sales on a monthly basis.
Skills
• Degree or Honors (12+3 or equivalent)
• Experience: Degree with a minimum of 4 years proven track record in sales in a hotel or travel industry.
Ability and skills: Good presentation and influencing/negotiation skills. Creative and lateral thinker and a good team member. Good interpersonal ability and networking skills. Should be able to able to operate independently with minimal supervision. Excellent English written and oral communication skills. Arabic language skills is preferred but not essential. Conversant in any other language (e.g. French or German) will be a distinct advantage.
