We are seeking a Social media/channels manager to oversee and co-ordinate all corporate affairs (CA) social media communications for the UAE and provide guidance for CA Heads on operating social media channels in MENAP markets. This is a Dubai, UAE based position that will be a diverse and interesting challenge for someone with the right skill set.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
•Provide key strategic communications advice Regional Head of Corporate Affairs
•Maintain a tight control of all issues that have the potential to cause reputation damage to SCB in country. Manage crises and pro-actively deal with threats to SCB’s reputation
•Manage and co-ordinate all CA internet content, intranet sites and structure/design/issuing of internal enewsletters
•Provide strategic and tactical social media and channels (e.g. iConnect) advice to Regional Head of Corporate Communications and wider team
•Work closely with Group, Regional, CB and WB resources with responsibility for channels (primarily social media and online communications) to ensure alignment of objectives and activities.

•Maintain excellent communications with the working press and editors/producers
•Pro-actively pitch opportunities that fit the Bank’s strategic agenda
•Formulate and implement a communications plan, which is aligned with the business agenda
•Ensure compliance with the SCB media policies
Qualifications & Skills
Knowledge
•Previous experience within a channels role/social media (client or agency)
•Excellent working knowledge of the technology including deadlines, interests, agendas, etc.
•Excellent relationships with agencies and IT, working across all levels
Skills
•Diplomacy and tact
•Ability to read people effectively and customise communications according to target audience
•Strong relationship building skills
•Being a trusted partner to the business and senior stakeholders: able to give advice and hold his/her own in challenging senior stakeholders using logic and rationale
