If you are wondering what are the major milestones in the history of the world wide web, wonder no more, because now we have a museum for our beloved internet!
The Big Internet Museum was created by Media Monks, an Amsterdam-based digital production creative agency, and Vellance, a Dutch web hosting company and TBWA\NEBOKO in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. According to the creators the museum is not about money, it’s a tribute to all the pioneers who made the Internet and the World Wide Web what it is today. However there is a giftshop and a lectures section, both sections are under construction, these could be a good way to support the initiative, and speaking of support, you can share the museum on your social networks to spread the word.
The collection comprises different milestones starting from Pentagon’s ARPANET in 1969 all the way to YouTube’s phenomena Gangnam Style. Browse the Big Internet Museum and take a trip down memory lane, it’s really nice!
