The N9 is expected to be available in selected markets across the MENA region in three weeks at an estimated price of $600 – $650.
The N9 is an all-screen easy-to-pair 3.9″ smartphone that runs on the MeeGo operating system from Nokia, the device is powered by a 1 GHz processer, 1 GB RAM and an 8-megapixel Carl Zeiss autofocus camera. Here is a quick walkthrough in the N9:
Nokia promises a totally different experience with the N9, instead of the classical menu and multiple home-screens layout, the N9 has three views that enable you reach the app/feature you need and to switch between the running ones, as well as keeping you updated with the latest notifications from the phone and social media. Your first step is with the menu that lists all available apps and features in the phone, when you swipe to the next view, which lists all the running apps allowing you to switch between them, another swipe will take you to the notifications screen, which updates you with different kinds of notifications like missed calls, emails, stuff from your social networks and so on.
The N9 is fitted with the Near Field Communication (NFC), which allows you share images and videos with other devices by touching them together, this technology is really exciting specially if you have the Nokia Play 360° Portable Speakers, just tag it with the phone and you will enjoy your music!
