The first online call for entries has already been made and Zain Bahrain will hold a briefing session for entrants after September 20, 2011. Uniqueness, originality, professionalism, aesthetics and the complexity of digital usage are among the points which will be assessed by a distinguished panel of judges.
“We are looking for entries that are a minute long. This is a very different creative contest and we are excited that already there has been great feedback and entries,” said Zain Bahrain’s eMarketing Project Manager, Mr. Ali Sabkar, “Originality is the main criterion and we shall of course want all entries to have watertight copyright ownership for every visual and sound including music and voiceover.”
The initial requirements for the competition’s entries are that it be presented in built on Flash, 3D or a combination of both; it be optimized for both offline and online use and no larger than 100Mb; it be a maximum of 1 minute long; it should have a resolution of at least 800 x 600 pixels and frame rate of 25fps and should include the Zain Bahrain logo.
The Competition is open to all Kingdom of Bahrain residents, other than the employees of Zain Bahrain. Entrants under the age of 16 must have their parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to enter the competition. Multiple entries are accepted so long as each animation is substantially different.
Zain Bahrain entered the Kingdom’s telecoms market in 2003 as the second mobile service entrant. Riding on the promise of innovative business practices and cutting-edge technology, Zain Bahrain has delivered by putting Bahrain on the global telecommunications map with a string of firsts – the first country with nation-wide 3G, then 3.5G and WiMAX coverage. Today, Zain Bahrain has developed into a successful fixed wireless service operator offering full-spectrum corporate telecoms solutions, voice and data services to customers in the Kingdom.
