Our client, a leading Marquee and Event Services company, is seeking to recruit an Account Manager reporting to the Client Services Manager
The company’s vision is to supply successful events with a high level of customer service and attention to detail.You will be primarily responsible for the sourcing and servicing of all company clients. Acting as the central point of contact for the Client throughout the pitch and win process, you will have overall responsibility for delivering a successful event whilst ensuring that all internal procedures are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities
Client Handling Working with existing clients to understand their ongoing requirements and upsell accordingly
Taking full client brief, from initial telephoneemail enquiry through to site visit
Assessing client needs to determine the scope of the project and the associated Technical and Design requirements
Liaise with other departments (Operations Design Production) to ensure they are equipped to provide accurate estimates and creative inputWork with the design team on creative solutions to meet the Client Brief
Preparation of proposals using Allhire and Powerpoint Presentation of proposals to the Client including selling of creative elements and costings
Negotiation and final closing of proposal with client
Act as the sole point of contact for the Client ensuring that all parties (internal and external) are briefed throughout
Work closely with the Project Manager (once appointed) to ensure they are supported in delivering the event to the clients specification and timeline
Generation of invoicing and overall responsibility for obtaining client payment pre event
Completion of all internal paperwork to ensure smooth running of office systems
Support other members of the Client Services team in order to knowledge share and meet deadlines
Business Development Devise a strategyaction plan to leverage off your existing client base
Work with the Client Services Manager to define your new business development plan and sales strategy
Research prospective Clients and market sectors
Contact prospective clients and develop relationships Meet with all your new and existing Clients and give credential presentations as well as Harlequin updates
Update and maintaining contact tracking database
Liaise with all members of staff relating to building new client relationships
Update and maintain contact tracking database
Ensure all targets (revenue and individual) are met on a monthlyquarterly basis
Skills
Competencies Personal Self starter, able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines A natural flair for building relationships with people on every level.
Great communication skills and an ability to think quickly and clearly under pressure. Quick learner with a willing attitude and the ability to respond to a constantly changing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Flexible to work longer hours if required
Technical Computer literate, ability to use Word, Powerpoint and Excel. Training will be supplied in Allhire
Qualification A-Level minimum qualification level.Driving license essential.
Experience 2-5 years experience in account handlingsales or project management for an events related business
