Advanced Statistical Analyst | Gallup Abu Dhabi, UAE
We are searching for a talented Advanced Statistical Analyst to integrate multi-source Gallup data with other client or public metrics to facilitate analyses and deliver scientifically sound interpretations. Partnering closely with our experts in Abu Dhabi and the global social and economic analysis team, you will leverage your regional knowledge, strong statistics and methodology/design background, and expertise on issue-based analysis and interpretation, delivering to high-profile clients. You will partner closely with a team of senior analysts specializing in core topics pertaining to Muslim societies around the world. The work you carry out will be used in presentations, meetings, and content development that will shape opinion leaders globally.
Key responsibilities include:
•Providing strong analytical insights through manipulation of data, test hypotheses and assumptions, and solving quantitative problems on projects globally.
•Partnering with Gallup consultants and production teams to help understand research objectives, design appropriate methodological plans, and develop suitable analytic strategies.
•Reducing complex analyses to simplified explanations through clear technical and analytical reports, presentations, and publications.
•Designing surveys, including sample design and questionnaire construction.
•Processing data utilizing SAS programming, SPSS, and other statistical applications.
•Creating data systems and providing direction to streamline data production processes.
•Creating individualized client deliverables.
Skills
A master’s degree in statistics or a related field – with a focus on economics, mathematics, or social sciences – together with experience in survey research, statistical concepts, methodology, and experience with SPSS, SAS, STATA, or other statistics tools. You will need to have current relevant experience managing large constituent deliverables, and be strongly interested in social and economic current events. You must have knowledge of statistical methods, linear and logistic modeling, and statistical principles such as sampling, inferences, and transformations. You must also be able to work both in a team and independently when required, taking pride in the accuracy of your work. Impeccable attention to detail is essential.
