Job Description
Our client, global management consulting firm is currently seeking to recruit Business Developer. You will be reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager Role Description The Business Developer will focus on selling individual products from a portfolio of productized services to a large volume (number of products number of countries number of years) local and or mid to large organizations that assist human resource and line managers to effectively support recurring HR processes in their company. Products span areas including attracting the right talent, assessing applicants consistently and effectively, presenting an appropriate offer to prospective employees, assessing employee performance and potential, developing employees to promotion and or exit, and ensuring throughout their career equitable and competitive rewards This position is responsible to identify non-company’s Group clients, initiate meetings, build relationships, identify needs and generate sales in a specified territory. The typical sale will be to a buyer with domestic operations requiring moderate product knowledge and they could cross multiple countries, business units, organizational functions. Sales require multiple touches, have a 3- 6 or 6-12 month sales cycle, and generate modest average spend. Primary Activities Identify targets, appropriate contact(s), and needs for Company’s Groups Productized Services Initiate, establish, develop, maintain and grow relationships with targeted companies contacts (primarily human resource, leadership and talent, reward leaders with a regional or global focus) Present, promote and sell a defined set of productized services to potential clients in a defined territory Develop relationships and liaise closely with territory’s internal business stakeholders to jointly identify targets, leads, joint meeting opportunities and new sales Generate at least, the lower of a multiple of their annual cost or in between $150,000 to$500,000 USD in annual sales after initial ramp up Continually keep activity levels (cold calling, follow ups, meetings, attending network associations, etc) high to ensure pipeline is continually strong Engage Regional Sales Manager weekly to discuss pre-sale activity levels, new results, future meetings, pipeline, approaches to be successful, and technical account management support needed to assist in sale Track, detail and update all pre-sale activity, touches, and attempts in appropriate systems Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity Ensure a proper transition from sale to account manager Coach upcoming talent in the Business Development family Integrate in Clinet Relation Directed teams to actively promote Productized Services Develop strong level of knowledge of product offerings ensure personal learning and development plan is up to date Maintain sophisticated level of knowledge of product offerings ensure personal learning and development plan is up-to-date
Skills
University graduate with a minimum of 3 – 5 years experience Proven business development skills in a Business to Business context Self-starter with minimal supervision Very proficient in Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Affinity with an HR focused clientele Excellent relationship building skills and client empathy Ability to travel Multilingual capabilities a plus Ability to open and close business at senior levels Networking, selling, communication and presentation skills.
