Editor / Creative Writer | APG Global Doha, Qatar
The Role
Our client, one of Qatar’s premier development companies with a strong focus on bridging classic Arabic architecture with modern construction techniques, requires an Editor / Creative Writer for their Doha office. The core of this role is to write content for internal and external communications including web sites and social media.
Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Public Affairs and working as a part of the Marketing Department, the proven performer we seek will be responsible to:
• Participate in planning, and coordinating the development, implementation, and completion of special projects related to Brand Communication initiatives.
• Perform substantive editing, copy editing and proofreading of documents while monitoring internal and external document production
• Assist in text writing and copy editing for brochures, website, newsletters etc.
• Plan and implement production timelines for multiple publications – ranging from monthly to annually in frequency
• Develop and update appropriate Media Kits
• Work with the PR Agency to ensure that all media requests are answered in a timely and appropriate manner
• Develop updated messaging documents and brief management prior to any interviews.
RequirementsThe attributes we seek for this successful candidate include: • Candidates must possesses a Degree in Communications, Journalism or Creative Writing and have 5-6 years of experience in a similar role within a large organisation where multiple Media Releases and Publications are developed and issued frequently.
