Assistant Account Manager – Public Relations | Al Tayer Group Dubai, UAE

• Write/ edit press releases, speeches, articles, develop Q& A standards, recommend official press statements, identify news opportunities from available sources to maximise media coverage for the brand. Handle the PR aspect of a possible crisis situation for the respective accounts.
• Plan the press office despatch schedule, use effective forms of media and communication to build, maintain and manage the brand image.
• Organise and attend press conferences, special events, launches etc., network with associated service providers or facilitators and build goodwill relationships with the press.
• Propose concepts for events in coordination with Events Manager, manage them, identify effective brand associations through sponsorships and leverage the participation through different approaches aimed at maximising PR mileage.
• Prepare reports/ verify those prepared by subordinates, periodically, on the various press releases and events/ sponsorship programmes to assess the quality and effectiveness of PR efforts for the respective brands. Present PR evaluation reports with recommendations to enhance the brands’ image.
• Act as a common interface for the customers, suppliers and clients in communicating the brand image as per the communication standards and marketing plans.
• Supervise, guide and coach subordinate by establishing and developing work processes, setting targets and motivating them to perform better for ensuring quality and efficiency of work.(optional)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Mass Communication /Journalism • 5 years relevant experience in Public Relations – preferably in an Agency and having worked on Retail Brands
• Good inter personal skills & communication skills
• Ability to work to stretching targets and deadlines
