Job Purpose:
Create short films related to all AWPR activities for distribution in local, regional and international media and develop content for AWPR internal and external corporate communications initiatives including the website. Responsible for social media content. Consults with AWPR’s film/video related project.

Key Tasks and Duties
• Prepare short documentary films about AWPR activities for publishing in traditional and non-traditional media.
• Conceptualize, shoot, prepare, edit and finalize video documentaries for promotional, educational, archival or any other necessary purpose.
• Develop stories, write scripts, design storyboards.
• Manage AWPR’s social media initiatives.
• Develop content for AWPR’s internal and external corporate communication such as AWPR website and intranet, social media sites such as You Tube and Facebook, as well as other areas on an as needed basis.
• Work directly with the public relations team press to support press releases with video content.
• Maintain and enhance excellent relationships with the existing English / Arabic national, regional and international video-based media and initiate new relations with potential ones.
• Consult on all AWPR film-related activates such as promotional videos, feature length films, documentary film projects and similar projects.
• Build and maintain a video of all raw film material produced or for AWPR.
• Keep abreast of professional developments such as new techniques and current issues through continued education.

Academic and professional Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communication or relevant field.
• Postgraduate degree /professional qualification in video production or broadcast journalism an advantage.

Experience:
• 5 years’ relevant experience, particularly at a television news network.
• 5 years’ relevant experience to include advance knowledge of self-shooting and non-linear editing, preferably within a television news environment where stories are prepared on daily basis.

Domain Skills and Knowledge Required:
Video editing skills and proficiency in the following:
• Experience in all aspects of the video production process.
• Researching and planning film shoots in the UAE and abroad.
• Shooting in Standard and High Definition film format.
• Wildlife filming.
• Sound recording and use of sound mixer.
• Storage, management and archiving of digital media.
• Knowledge of broadcast media formats and requirements for video news releases/electronic press kits.
• Use of HD Non-Linear Editing systems (eg Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro).
• Script writing and revision, subtitling and audio dubbing.
• Colour correction and finishing.
• Experience in producing content for a web audience and knowledge of social media.
