The Role

Our Dubai location positions us in a still growing market at the hub of business in the northern hemisphere with a client base operating in more than 15 countries across the Middle East, Europe, the Sub Continent and Asia. Our offerings include every aspect of communications, advertising and marketing in traditional and new media formats.

We are currently looking to recruit a Web Designer to work from our Dubai office. Reporting to the Strategic Planning Manager and Head of e-business, your main role will involve the following responsibilities:

• Works with the Creative team to develop concepts for client campaigns, following industry creative trends.
• Build the HTML/XHTML, Javascript, JQuery based on the mock-ups and work with developers on integrating the dynamic features and content into web pages and components.
• Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selecting style and size of type, and creating sample layouts.
• Researching and reviewing suitable illustrations, photography or stock photos and sound, Participates and contributes in design for new business presentations as needed
• Reviews quality of final product before release to client, Delivers products in a timely fashion to meet set deadlines

Requirements

To apply for this role you must have the following skills and experiences:

• 5+ years experience
• Intimacy with Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong Flash skills required, Actionscript 3 programming skills highly desired
• Strong command of HTML/XHTML, Javascript, JQuery and related technologies.
• Strong command of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
• Strong command of cross-browser and cross-platform functional inconsistencies and workarounds, and ability to code for cross-platform/browser requirements, enabling graceful degradation.
• General understanding of Content Management Systems.
• Ability to create working prototypes from graphical layouts, paper prototypes, and/or wireframes
