Manager, Application and Data Services | Omantel Muscat, Oman

1. Application and Data Services • Evaluate new proposals for product and services to drive new business opportunities
• Prepare business case/financial feasibility for value added services
• Liaise with Procurements and Contract in developing contracts and service level agreements
• Coordinate with Finance and Legal to approve new business cases, clear contracts and launch new product and services
• Manage and promote existing products and services and resolve any issues that may arise
• Negotiate with content providers for better revenue share deals
2. Operational Management • Monitor departmental performance to ensure that all issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Ensuring payments for content providers is made on timely manner
• Managing and allocating resources such as short codes
3. Reporting • Obtain quantitative data to assess and project industry trends that may affect Omantel business and operational strategies and objectives
• utilize business intelligence reports and develop industry trends for distribution to other Functional Departments within Consumer Unit
• Provide inputs to business cases and financial feasibility studies
• Conduct regular surveys and focus groups to gain consumers opinion on Omantel’s exisitng products and services
4. People Management • Motivate and empower direct reports by providing the necessary tools and support required to support Department goals
• Plan, manage, and review individual performance and provide regular feedback, development and coaching, taking prompt action where necessary
• Establish clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow of the Application and Data Services Section
• Build opportunities for Application and Data Services Section members to suggest, participate in and contribute to improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing initiatives
• Provide guidance and ensure that the Application and Data Services Section complies with Omantel’s policies, processes, practices and systems
