The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center is inviting photographers to participate in the second edition of “Spaces of Light” photography contest, which is held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the competition is focused around the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi as a tribute to the late president of the UAE, HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and at the same time to capture the the visual, cultural, and spiritual richness embodied within the Grand Mosque.
What you need to know:
- The deadline for submitting photos is 31 January 2012
- You need to register online
- There are three categories in the competition, you can submit up to 3 photos per category, the categories are Mosque & People, Architectural Landscape and Macro-Detail
- First Prize is AED50000, Second Prize is AED30000 and the Third Prize is AED20000 for each category
- You can submit B&W and Colored photos
- Photographs that have been edited (other than normal color balancing etc) will not be accepted
- Minimum image size is 1200X1600 pixel
- Photos should be submitted on a CD or DVD with your name written on it as stated in the online registration
