After launching its first smartphone collection, Chinese tech giant Lenovo announced a new collection of Android-powered smartphones labeled “Vibe”. The new collection includes the Vibe X, which is already available in the UAE for AED1700, and the Vibe Z, the company’s first LTE phone that will be launched end of February here in the UAE with an asking price of AED2000.
Here is a video review of the Lenovo Vibe X:
The new device enjoys a sleek design and is very light and thin, the phone is 6.9mm thick and weighs 121 grams, while the curved design makes it easy to fit within the palm of the hand. This is a great advantage of the new Vibe X.
The phone is powered by a Quad-Core 1.5 GHz CPU and operates on Android Jelly Bean, as for the display, we’re talking about a 5″ 1080×1920-pixel Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display. The phone is equipped with 3 virtual buttons at the bottom, in addition to the power button and the volume controls on both sides.

One of the main features that distinguish one phone from the rest, on the back, the Vibe X is equipped with a 13-megapixle wide-angle camera, while on the front we have a 5-megapixles camera. You can shoot still images at 4128 x 3096 pixels, while videos can be shot with full HD 1080p quality at 30fps.
The camera enjoys a good range of filters and color effects to enhance the photography, in addition, the are different pre-defined sittings for shooting in HDR, Low-Light conditions, macro, panorama and few other conditions.

One of the apps that are available on the device is ShareIT, a free app from Lenovo that allows you to share files between different Android devices without WiFi or Bluetooth, the app uses the WiFi hotspot to transfer the files, as demonstrated in the above video.

All in all, the Vibe X looks great and represents a good value for money, the design is an excellent factor about the device, it’s think and light, and yet loaded with good hardware and good features.
