Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 13, 2014 – Dubai Lynx announced Amar Abou Zahr and Nadim Karam from BPN team as the winners for the Young Lynx Media Competition sponsored by Yahoo this year. The competition brought teams of two from various regional media agencies to prepare an innovative media plan in just 24 hours to raise awareness about Dubai Center for Special Needs (DCSN), and attract sponsors to support the charity, as well as direct traffic to its web and Facebook pages.

The DCSN, a non-profit organization with over 100 students, relies on charity from sponsors and corporations to fund for the improvement of the school’s facilities and specialized training and therapy.

Khalid Abu Saada, Client Development Director at Yahoo Maktoob, who was part of the competition’s judging committee said, “I was very impressed by all of the entries this year, and saw a lot of creativity and potential from these young storytellers. But BPN team’s presentation really stood out. They gave an excellent plan with a well thought-out process from planning to execution, and showed incredible attention to detail.” He added, “On behalf of Yahoo, congratulations Amar and Nadim. We’re very happy to have sponsored this competition and to be supporting the young regional creative industry.”

Starcom MediaVest Group team and FP7/DXB team took second and third place respectively at this year’s Young Lynx Media Competition, with a special mention to Mindshare MENA team.
