The Role

Content Development Manager – Arabic speaking, up to AED 25,000

You will be involved with the creation and delivery of high quality content, including English translations of Arabic materials. Key aspect of the work will be selecting the legal materials to be translated, liasing with translation agencies to get work done balancing workload to meet dates, quality assurance of translation to ensure correct and high quality for legal market, general content editing, liasing with offshore team for XML conversion and consolidation and approval of final content prior to loading to the online service.

You will also assist Customer Support and Sales staff in answers customer queries and translation requests. They will be involved in looking at content development initiatives to add new content or increase value of existing content.

You will liaise with the Content Operations Manager to report on workflow and to alert about any backlogs, implement common content standards, documentation, procedures and processes, contribute as requested to content and product development initiatives, source non gazetted legal materials required for the service or to support customer queries, answer customer content and translation queries working with Customer Support and Sales to ensure prompt and informed response and take on content processing workflows for existing online platform, from an acquisition, to maintain the current service.

Requirements

The successful candidate must be fluent Arabic speaking, and have either a degree in law and experience of the GCC or a translation degree with extensive legal experience within the GCC. You must have editorial experience and an understanding of online publishing and content structure. You must have experience of translating legal materials and have excellent attention to detail.

You will be joining a young and energetic team so you should show eagerness to learn and an enthusiasm to deliver results. There is the possibility of some travel around the region.
