The Role

• Conduct competitor analysis by forecasting expected behaviors and plans of competitors in the identified markets.
• Manage a broad range of sources of future market information, including undertaking and managing specific market investigation as necessary. Analyze and characterize future markets by assessment the market size/growth, value chain business models, dynamics, key players etc and create models to describe and simulate market scenarios. Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessment of markets.
• Formulate analysis plans. Design or assist in the development of questionnaires and moderator guides to ensure the necessary data is captured. Conduct in-depth analyses using traditional and advanced methods. Come up with sound recommendations and action items based on analysis findings. Use statistical software as required to manage and organize information.
• Prepare ad-hoc studies for all lines of business and all brands.
• Work with internal or external stakeholders to understand, define and document business objectives and applying qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret the data and produce substantiated recommendations.
• Provide the sales and marketing decision makers from the regional offices with high quality (insightful, actionable, reliable and timely) market, customer and consumer knowledge (data, analysis and/or reporting) by interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations based upon research findings.

Requirements

Fluent in English, oral and written, Arabic and French is an advantage
Available for travel within the region for up to 30% of the time
Extensive knowledge of research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative)
Solid understanding of the market research business in planning and execution
Strong knowledge of statistics and analysis techniques
Methodical in thought and actions, presents strongly with conviction
Adaptive and sensitive to different internal/external customer groups
Computer literate in Word /Lotus Notes/PowerPoint/Excel to advanced level
