Job Description
The Pre-sales Specialist leads the development of sales propositions, researching sales markets, creating sales plans that match specific market/customer needs with Upstream’s solutions.
Builds up existing sales collateral, to present innovative commercial proposal to mobile operators
You need to be a passionate, proactive self starter and excellent communicator who can operate in a constantly evolving team environment and have the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and remote teams.
Performance is measured by the impact on sales engagements, smooth interaction with the position’s stakeholders and innovation to processes and materials.
You will have a unique opportunity to work with mobile operators around the world on some of the most innovative mobile marketing solutions. With mobile marketing spend poised to grow to $21.2 billion by 2012 (ABI Research), you will help Upstream to continue its rapid growth. The pre-sales position leads to a potential career in sales, product management or account management.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Build knowledge on Upstream’s markets
Create sales plans for a specific region, operator group or individual operators
Guide sales staff in the development of sales accounts and customer propositions
Interact with sales team to support global sales activities
Model the financial business case associated with each sales opportunity
Create presentations that clearly communicate the uniqueness of Upstream’s solutions
Attend sales meetings and present to prospective clients
Represent Upstream at trade events
Collect and document competitive intelligence
Maintain the knowledge repository
Skills
Must be fluent in Arabic and understand the local Middle-East culture
Must have a good understanding of ways doing business with mobile operators in the Middle-East
Bright, ambitious, self-driven, hard-working and flexible
Able to perform under pressure and deliver results in a demanding and fast-paced environment that requires fresh thinking and innovation
Fluent English
BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably in science or business
3/5 years of experience in a pre-sales or product marketing roles for a technology business, preferably selling to mobile operators
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Excellent with numbers and financial models in Microsoft Excel
Good sense of design and command of Microsoft PowerPoint
Attention to detail
Willingness to travel frequently
