VOX Cinemas brings ‘Rock and Roll Hall of Famers’ Led Zeppelin to the UAE big screen

Dubai, UAE, 08 October 2012 - Widely regarded as the most influential, innovative and successful rock and roll bands in history, Led Zeppelin will be coming to the UAE big screens this month for just four days from October 17th – 20th at Deira City Centre, Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City Centre only at VOX Cinemas. Being released alongside the worldwide theatrical release of their legendary concert ‘Celebration Day’ at the O2 Arena in London back in 2007, VOX Cinemas will be the only cinema chain in the UAE to show this live concert, which was the band’s first headline show in more than 27 years. Equipped with the latest in digital cinema technology, VOX Cinemas is changing the face of entertainment in the region by bringing new, exciting and alternative forms of entertainment to movie-goers.
Led Zeppelin’s must-see performance was captured in high definition, and five years later this rock and roll spectacle will be released for the first time in theatres worldwide on October 17th. ‘Celebration Day’ in 2007 was attended by 18,000 ticket holders who were fortunate enough to win their seats through a worldwide lottery that drew in more than 20 million applications. Now, VOX Cinemas is giving movie-goers in the UAE the opportunity to watch Led Zeppelin’s famous concert in crisp, clear, digital format – recreating the momentous occasion for music fans here.

Timings for the concert are on October 17th at 9:00pm, October 18th at 7:00pm, October 19th at 7:00pm and October 20th at 4:00pm at Deira City Centre, Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City Centre. Led Zeppelin’s ‘Celebration Day’ is a two-hour plus concert featuring 16 of the band’s most famous tracks including ‘Whole Lotta Love’, ‘Rock and Roll’, ‘Kashmir’ and ‘Stairway to Heaven’.
