Xperia V Grabs the Attention in Lebanese Singer Haifa Wehbe’s Latest Music Video “Ezzay Ansak”

Haifa-Wehbe

Dubai-UAE: 17 April, 2013 – Sony Mobile Communications (Sony Mobile) and Rotana Audio Visual Group, a member of Rotana Holdings, today announced its cutting-edge Xperia V smartphone (in a striking pink color) is grabbing viewers’ attention in Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe’s latest music video “Ezzay Ansak”, which released today.

Haifa Wehbe’s video marks another successful partnership between Rotana Audio Visual Group and Sony Xperia smartphone. Previously, music videos of popular artists including Elissa, Amal Hijazi, and Saber Rebai have also featured Sony Xperia smartphones.

Spyridon Gousetis, Director of Marketing, Sony Mobile Middle East and Africa, said: “We, at Sony Mobile Middle East and Africa, are delighted to work with the most popular and influential Arabic artists. Coming as part of our strategy towards capturing a greater share of our target markets, these interactions offer our products extensive breadth and depth of exposure. Furthermore, working with the teams at Rotana Audio Visual has always been an engaging experience.”

Hady Hajjar, Head of Marketing for Rotana Audio Visual Group in the Middle East, said: “The Sony Xperia brand continues to integrate seamlessly within our concepts. We are keen on featuring Xperia smartphones in our music videos, and strengthening this partnership.”

The video features an intense dance performance by Wehbe, supported by professional dancers. Depicting a love story mixed with adventure and drama, Haifa plays the role of an expert thief who evades the police after stealing an expensive jewel from a Museum, demonstrating superwoman-like powers. During Wehbe’s exploits, the Xperia V saves the day, helping her navigate her way on a stormy sea. In another shot, she drops the phone into water – the hardy and water resistant Xperia V continues to deliver unmatched performance despite the adventure.

On the capture of all her accomplices, Wehbe performs the finale of her dance that ends with her being shot and entering a dream. The video concludes with the director saying: “CUT” to reveal that this all was part of a film.

The smartphone placement showcases the strikingly pink Xperia V, which combines best-in-class durability and a sleek aesthetic design. Incorporating a scratch resistant mineral glass display for protection against dust and water immersion up to one metre for 30 minutes, the Xperia V was the ideal phone for the action-packed music video. Designed for superfast performance, the Xperia V is embedded with the latest generation Snapdragon S4 dual core 1.5 GHz processor and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with 4G (LTE).

Produced by Rotana and directed by Angy Akly Jammal, the music video characterized by a Western touch, was filmed across multiple locations in France, Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island Viceroy Hotel, Al Bandar Bridge, Al Raha Beach and surrounding areas. Wehbe’s latest song was developed and arranged by Hassan El-Shafei, written by Mohammed Jumaa and composed by Mohammad Raheem.
