The Role
Provide assistance to the Vice President on matters related to local protocols, Arabic-speaking media, and representation to different local constituents.
Represent the university in official functions with a particular emphasis on local constituents.
Serve as the chief protocol officer when receiving official guests.
Liaison with VIP guests, develop a VIP protocol.
Serve on occasion as a university spokesperson with an emphasis on Arabic-speaking media, including print, radio and television programming.
Represent the university in internal and external exhibitions, conferences and functions.
Manage the Outreach function of the University, work with local schools, communities and regulatory bodies to influence decision-making and support student recruitment activities.
Oversee the events function to leverage official activities in a public relations context, ensure appropriate representation from local constituents.
RequirementsBachelor’s degree, masters degree preferred in business, marketing or related discipline Over 10 years of progressively senior responsibilities. Fluency in presentation skills, verbal and written. Understanding of media requirements and expectations, proactive and outgoing personality with willingness to adapt to changing circumstances. Hands-on attitude. Ability to improvise. |
