The project is intended to better position Qatar to benefit from the expected regional growth in container and vehicle carrier traffic as well as general cargo traffic.Technical WriterJob Summary: The Technical Writer is responsible for the recording and distribution of meeting minutes and the gathering, organizing, and publishing of the package monthly report as well as other reports or presentation required during the course of the construction. The Technical Writer plays a key role in documenting the interchanges between the Resident Engineer, Assistant Resident Engineer, and the Contractor. Duties & Responsibilities: Manage production of documents, reports, and presentations. Compile and assimilate technical content from others and edit into high standard documents. Review and proof reading of documents. Liaise effectively with staff and external contacts. Produce digital art files for various media including print, web, broadcast, and PowerPoint. Scanning, file retrieval, digital photo-shopping and illustration as required. Assist in the production of the project, presentations, and proposals. Solve problems both creatively and technically to produce projects effectively. Make suggestions for any improvements to design/production. Maintain high standards of copywriting and exercising quality control on all copy. Ability to think creatively and justify concepts to Clients and team members. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Specific Skills Required: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Work, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent working knowledge of desktop publishing software; In-Design or Illustrator preferable. Excellent technical report writing skills. Ability to collate information accurately. Able to work alone with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all department/company matters. Person Specification (Personality Attributes): Meticulous attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management and prioritization. Able to manage pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work with staff members and obtain the information from them required for the work product.
